  Well, the Apostasy Accusations Begins...

  so, it finally happened.

  the first time i have been called out for being an apostate.

  it started out innocently enough: my family and i were watching a tv show.

  My parents told me why I should celebrate a country that doesn't care about me.

  Funny your father said that. My mother in law (87 y.o) moved to the Unites States about ten years ago. She has never worked in the U.S. or paid any taxes, but she gets about $900.00 a month in her bank account (SS from husband and other social benefits from the government). She gets Medical, Medicare. She doesn't pay a penny of medical insurance. She qualifies for housing benefits and is planning to get them.

  I forgot to write that she is a zealous JW who constantly calls the government of Satan corrupt

  when we were practising witnesses we heard a lot about the need to be "sheeplike" , having a sheeplike attitude and personality .

  a typical comment might be :.

  "lasting peace & happiness just ahead" 2009 p 30.

  No, I contend that Jesus was speaking of himself and his loving attitude to his congregation when he spoke of sheep and shepherds

  Unfortunately Jesus never came back to clarify the issue. Maybe he meant it the way it is interpreted by most Christians. Otherwise he would be here to make corrections. Or perhaps the whole thing is bullshit not worth arguing about, unless you are bored.

  despite my often smart-ass exterior, i really don't have any desire to see the r&f dubs suffering.

  i really do worry about the mental and emotional turmoil that they will experience, if and when the wtbts is truly exposed as a scam.

  i know it seems unlikely to happen, but you never know..... anyway, the wt for the week was cringe-worthy to say the least.

  there are many on this site that do not believe that jehovah truly exists; that he is not a real being.

  but, he is as real as next breath you draw into your nostrils.. some of you say that there is no evidence that he exists.

  yet, none of you can prove that he does not exits.. cofty, (you come to mind), i appreciate that you have stated, without reservation, that you do not believe that god exists.. yet, you cannot prove it.. hope in jehovah..

  You are impervious to reason and evidence, but at least you stay for the beating. Most JW's run away the moment they hear the first challenge.

  the Watchtower interpretation of "marrying in the Lord" presages doom. If women marry non believers, they expose themselves to challenges of the "truth" and becoming spiritually weak, and therefore having their children exposed to being tempted by "Satan's world". On the other hand, marrying a believer leaves half the women unmarried. Either way, they lose because their little indoctrinated "converts" will be cut in half too. To make matters worse, consider that 66 % of the little ones will quit when they grow up. What you have then is doom. They were right after all. The end is just around the corner.
